Forward Base Capitoline hangs within the belt of moons orbiting Jupiter, home to 150 inquiring souls as a major research centre operating at the very frontiers of space science. The work done at FBC has the potential to take humanity from its colonies in the solar system deeper into space, perhaps even, one day, to distant stars. Resources are limited and conditions are challenging, but some Earth’s brightest minds have signed up for permanent placement on the station. Along with massive datasets, the station sends a monthly signal back to earth, reporting on the situation at the FBC. Everything proceeds well until one of the experiments begin to spiral out of control.
 
A hard science chiller set in the not-too-distant future, Signal looks at human nature evolving under pressure and the limits of both clinical controls and morality. It deals with fascinating scientific questions as it slow builds tension, ultimately descending into a shocking, horrifying climax.
